Lightbulb Use of the XFire SDK for GW support

Hi all. XFire just released an XFire SDK for game devs to add plugins for their games to Xfire. I know that a lot of people would appreciate a Guild Wars plugin for this. It would look something like

.

The SDK is in C++ Programming language. It would be really easy to make for someone who knows C++, and instructions are listed athe the XFire SDK link above. I would like anyone who wants this feature to post here. Hopefully the ANet programmers will see and make one.
NOTE: This is NOT a Petition!

I think it would be a popular and widely used feature if it was to be implemented.
I doubt it would take much doing either and could be available for download from the Guild Wars website or the XFire website or maybe both.

No, I'd rather have them implement this IN the game friendlist.

Xfire causes connection lag for me.

I think having the feature implemented into Xfire is much more likely than having it added to your friends list.
In game you can ask the person anyway, it's not always that convenient to reply to someone in xfire.

I think that people are suggesting this because of the current chat system isn't sufficient enough anymore.

But I wouldn't even suggest Xfire to anyone....

IT reminds me too much of bloatware and last time I tried it, it was buggy as hell.

Xfire has probably improved since you last tried it, i don't find it buggy in any way when i use it nor does it give me any lag.
I suggest you give it another try and see if you still feel the same way.

Same. Sounds really cool. Battlefield 2, i THINK WoW, already does this. Maybe not the TITLE display, but the character, friend, name, and location would be GREAT.

I've had this idea going through my head for ages.. even before the SDK was released. It would truly be awesome!

Yea Gamma was testing this for some time, and I was really hesitant to allow him to release it privately. But after some communication between, we decided it was harmless to release it, and violated no parts of our EULA, RoC, or NDA. So Gamma got Xfire themselves to release it as a SDK, so there was no question of its authenticity, or worry of being a key-logger...

For the record =HT=Gamma also made the Music plugin and the popular MSN IM Plugin for Xfire...

I am awaiting word from sources at Anet before the working plugin is released to the commuity... We don't want to step over anyone boots here... When it goes live we will make a post in Guru.

For news on this as it goes live see here: http://xfireplus.com/news.php
